The ISTE National Educational Technology Standards (NETS-T) and Performance Indicators for Teachers
GAME Plan
GOALS
- Model Digital-Age Work and Learning
- demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situation
- communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats
- Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership
- participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning
- exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others
- Find four different types of technology (i.e. PowerPoint, Inspiration, etc.) and find some way to work utilize these different learning tools to enhance instruction and/or use as learning tools within lessons and units discussed during application assignments.
- Once I have explored the technology and applied it to a lesson/instruction, I will share my work with my classmates and give them a quick explanation of the technology and what I thought of it.
MONITOR
- Through the modeling process and the write-ups I create for my blog group, I will use their comments and questions to gauge my ability to share information and clearly communicate the purpose and functions of the technology.
- After reviewing the comments/questions I will try to clarify or re-explain things to the group.
- Review my classmates’ comments, how I implemented or demonstrated the technology, and my own thoughts regarding the tools and reflect upon what went well, what I could have done differently, etc.
I NEED YOUR HELP...
Would any of you be willing to take a look at the four mini-projects and write-ups that I am going to create for this part of my GAME Plan. Really, all you would have to do is take a look at how I have applied the technology to some type of content and then review my short explanation. If you have questions or can think of other ways to utilize the technology, we could have a conversation about how to change things, implement the tool differently, etc. Taking part in these types of conversations may help some of you fulfill your GAME Plans. Let me know what you all think.
Thank you,
Courtney Clausen

Courtney,
ReplyDeleteI would be happy to look at your mini-projects, if I can find the link to them. You are obviously very organized and I love the layout of your post. What subject do you teach? Have you tried voicethread.com? How many computers do you have in your classroom? I also like how you are willing to explore the limits of an application before moving to another.
Let me know how to access your mini projects and I will take a look. I have to agree with the post above, your organization of your post is very neat and organized. It looks great.
